Way too Much Fun

I should so be studying, but this is more amusing then Con Law is to me right now. I did a bunch of other ones, but I thought this one was worth letting other people read. But for reference my muppet characer was Miss. Piggy and My "Dirty Dumb IQ" (whatever the hell that means) was 125. Hours of entertainment.

Your Inner Child Is Angry

You're not an angry person.
But when you don't get your way, watch out.
Like a very manipulative kid, you will get what you want.
Even if it takes a little kicking and screaming.

Snow

Oh Snow.

I'd write a poem, but I hate poems, like I hate snow.

So I'm not writing a poem.

Instead I'll shovel snow....that's real enticing.

What are the chances the idiots who run my school will think that tomorrow would be a good day to close since Nassau won't have plowed the roads yet? Slim to none. Oh how happy I am I get to hang out in Con Law tomorrow.

Law School Sucks.

The Heroism of Bob Iger

Now only a true Disney Fanatic (mainly me and Duffy) would truly understand this but in my overwhelming excitement I felt the need to share it with everyone else.

Yesterday we received news that an old member of the Disney family has been welcomed back into the fold after almost an 80 year estrangement.

Bob Iger, in a true act of heroism negotiated the rights for Disney to once more use Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.

For those of you who don't know Oswald the Lucky Rabbit he was one of Walt's first animations, and he was quite successful in the 20's However due to Walt's less then perfect record in business he may have created the rabbit but he somehow let his copyright in the rabbit be taken. This meant that he was unable to retain any of the exclusive rights that belong to copyright holders such as reproduction, derivative works, publication, and he was basically unable to profit or benefit from any of his hard work.

On that fateful day in 1927 when Walt learned that he no longer had copyright in Oswald, and could no longer use him to help fuel his dreams he got on a train and headed back to California from NY with nothing but Lily. While on that train he realized that he would have to start over and so he did with the first drawing of mouse, a mouse named Mortimer, who would eventually become one of the country's most recognized icons, a mouse who would mean freedom to many other nations in the world, a mouse that would represent all that was magical and imaginative in the world.

So although we missed Oswald we would not be where we were today without his absence, but as we have come so far it is about time that we have all of the family back together.

So thank you Bob for bringing us back Oswald who began a dream that we are all still living today.

Update

Apparently I'm a huge loser. I didn't realize until about a week ago that I hadn't written anything since Christmas Eve. So I will of course update my adoring fans (all 2 of you) with what's been going on since you last heard from me.

So last time you heard from me it was Christmas which means I got exciting new gifts. Well I don't know about exciting because I'm pretty boring myself, but I liked everything that I got which included the Jane Austen set from Easton Press, a new necklace from Tiffany's, a whole bunch of new books to read, new movies to watch, and my very own elephant with its trunk up to hold my rings on.

After Christmas I spent the majority of the week working at the Wonderful World of Disney. However I did have off on Tuesday of that week when my Mom came over to make arincini (rice balls). Well little did we know that Grandma Buffa wrote that recipe with the intention of it being halved, so we spent six hours making Rice balls and ended up with 84!!! It's a good thing I had a lot of people to give them away to (although I still have like 16 in my refrigerator).

Of course the week flew by and it was my annual New Year's Bash. Which I wouldn't really call a bash because we are the most boring people in the world, but we do have fun. I had a fantastic array of food as usual beginning with the old stand by cheese and crackers and bruschetta followed by an appetizer of arincini (big surprise) followed by the pasta course of pasta con pesto. We had to take a serious break after that because we were FULL (so we played trivial pursuit) but later on we had Swiss Steak, which was good, but not as flavorfull as I would have hoped, but I do have some plans for fixing that the next time. After the stake we began our game of Phase 10 in which Ms. Duffy (the new addition to the party) kicked our asses. We finished off the food part of the evening with a little French silk pie, which everyone loved but I thought was boring. (won't be making that next year)

After New Years I headed to Florida to visit my fam in St. Augustine, and then I met Erik and his parents in Orlando to find some Magic at Disney world, which we certainly did. Erik and I "ran" the Disney World Half Marathon this year, and I was very proud to say that I improved my time from two years about by 8 minutes. Maybe next year I'll actually bother to train!

After vacation I came back to the real world, which I utterly and truly DESPISE and food myself back at work and getting ready for school. YUCK.

And speaking of school here I am again. Back in the wonderful pithole of hell tat I refer to as law school. I suppose it's not as bad as it was last time because I'm officially on the half way done with law school side, but it still sucks, and it seems that the more work I do the more work I have to do. How the hell does that work?

So I hope you all enjoyed the update, and sooner rather then later, hopefully, I will be able to update a little more frequently. I have to get myself back into that ridiculous groove of law school first.

And for a final note, my Super Bowl predictions.........
